The Twelfth Legacy: Corruption of the Xenophage

     The Codex of Presage describes the Xenophage in unusual, and often confusing terms. It is clear that the Xenophage is the force behind the corruption of the Nullstrom. It is also made clear that this Xenophage is a malevolent entity, intent on causing harm to the great tree, Yggdrasil. From this point however, the tale becomes rather confusing.

     The codex describes details where the Xenophage has destroyed Yggdrasil, or was involved in its destruction. This statement is confusing because of the tense being used. It is made very clear that the destruction of Yggdrasil has already occurred, yet all other mention of Yggdrasil refers to it as still existing. This sheds serious doubts as to the accuracy of the portions of the Codex that speak of the Xenophage.
